Quinta de Travassinhos is the result of the recovery of an old family manor, dating back to the 17th century. A country manor that invites to discover the oldest demarcated region in the world, in an atmosphere of charm and comfort, providing guests with the opportunity to experience a wonderful stay.
Known as “A Quinta do Dr. Gonçalo”, former owner and Health Delegate of Santa Marta de Penaguião or, “Quinta da Menina” daughter of Gonçalo, heiress of the property after the death of her father, reborn in 2005 in the hands of the family of Miguel de Carvalho Monteiro.
Currently the manor has 9 rooms, five of which borrow the name of each of the various owners of Quinta de Travassinhos: Quarto Carlota; Quarto Menina; Quarto Montanha; Quarto Gonçalo and Quarto Padre. Four of them take their inspiration from the Douro environment and its people.
The solid wood sash windows, skirtings, floor and furniture pieces that were already part of the manor blend with the contemporary, offering the necessary comfort for total well-being.
